COLD WATER CARNAGE: GALLERY
Today was one for the history books at the Cornish Coldwater Classic sponsored by Duotone UK! The men’s pro event kicked off at 8.30 am in wild mast high plus waves and heavy duty 30-45 knot winds and it was high octane action from the word go. It was not just the top seeds that stepped up to plate, every rider that competed was pushing the limits. Kit was trashed on the rocks, the jet ski safety crew were kept busy and there were many memorable moments as the drama unfolded. The final of the men’s pro fleet boiled down to an epic showdown featuring Phil Horrocks, Andy King, Ben Page and Lucas Meldrum….the results are yet to be announced. As if that was not enough for the day, head judge Duncan Coombs made the call to move down to the Bluff to run the women, masters and junior fleets in slightly tamer conditions. As per the forecast the wind dropped around 3pm and the heats were finally cancelled! There will be plenty to talk about after this epic day on the water with so many incredible performances. Stay tuned for the next batch of action which will most likely take place on Sunday!
