It was a good call, Gwithian was firing. Once I’d re-calibrated my brain to accept that a set wave was now logo high, it was one of the best sessions of the year. Great fun, top day!
The Cribbar broke again on the Sunday and I had a craic at surfing it with arm power alone. I was warned that my 6’10 wouldn’t be long enough, and that perhaps explains why all my efforts ended with me getting pitched over the falls by the lip. I have to say though that the beatings weren’t really beatings at all, and I’m now more confident for next time with a better idea of where to ‘line up’. Can’t wait for the next big swell and wind to hit.
