How would you ideally like to see the tour grow and how do you think this can be achieved?
That is the million-dollar question! The slalom part is very healthy right now, but for sure it would be good to have a few more wave and freestyle events.
The problem always comes down to money and sponsors and unfortunately most of the best wave sailing/windy spots are often in the middle of nowhere and not much interest to sponsors.
We made some changes this year to make things a bit easier for new events and we have some really positive leads for new events. Like always, it’s too early to book tickets, but fingers crossed and we could have something amazing. The problem then becomes that the riders don’t have the support to get to all the events, but we have to try and see how we move forward.
