Are you just involved in the design side?
My role is not only with the design of the sail, but also managing the whole project – from designing the sail, to integrating the graphics, through to production and pricing in China. One of the most interesting parts of that is the whole product design concept. Not only making the sail work great on the water, but also having it look great and have everything working perfectly, so that the whole sailing experience is as simple and fun as possible.
I had some help from a guy called Brett who works in the car industry and is a keen windsurfer. He taught me loads about really looking at the small details and making sure that everything is perfect. The results are pretty amazing I think and I am super proud now to see our sails on the water. I know they work well and now I think they look fantastic too.
