Luckily for me, I can’t really remember too many lows. I guess I have had just too many good memories to shade off the bad, but those lows I can remember are all so real. Every windsurfer knows the feeling. You come in from your heat and your friends all say you sailed amazing, but you just didn’t quite get it. For me one of the hardest things is to put yourself out there, show the heat what you got, and then come up short. You give it your best and sometimes that is just not good enough. Usually you kinda know whether you win or lose by the way you sailed but when you give it your all and it wasn’t good enough, then what can you say. It’s all about three guys judging your style, your flow and what they perceive to be cool or most difficult.
