Allan Cross has an uncanny knack of delivering the goods, even with the elements against him, so, despite the light winds he had managed to round up hundreds of sailors for the race. From up above the start was spectacular, as the fleet headed out to sea in one united swarm of sails glistening in the sun. From the sky it looks like in some of the shots that the water is a tropical colour and as warm as Aruba…but looks can be deceptive!
