OZ IN THREE – WA

With only 3 days left I was keen to go wavesailing, so Ben promised that we would be hitting the waves next. We were in the hometown of Jaeger Stone so it was up to ‘Jigger’ to send us to the best spots. With a little bit of ground swell showing we headed to Sunset Beach, I’ve not really sailed here much but I knew it is more of a waveriding spot than the more popular Coronation Beach, so it was a welcome view after so much travelling to see 3-4 foot waves on the reef as we pulled into the car park.
I was rigged and out there in less than 5 minutes. This was my first time on my new Severne Nano board and I scored on my first wave pulling a perfect Goiter, maybe jet lag makes me sail better! Anyway, I was soon brought back down to earth when Jaeger hit the water and showed why he is one of the best in the world! We stayed in Geraldton for the next 2 days scoring epic jumping conditions at Coronation Beach and meeting up with all the Euro’s who make this spot their home for the winter!
